ABSTRACT CONTENT / DETAILS:

The ChEMBL database is well known as a source of data on the interactions of drug-like molecules with targets of therapeutic interest and of associated developability data. There is, however, an effort underway to broaden the scope of the database by including, for example, chemical-biology data of interest to sectors beyond the pharmaceutical industry and to include more data useful in the prediction of toxicity. Further, there are also data types aready in the database that are known to be used less than others, such as that for assays with in-vivo or functional in-vitro endpoints, and we are exploring ways to make this data more useful to the community. These efforts around data aquisition and curation will be described, along with other develoments within the ChEMBL family of databases.
