Scientific Officer: leads research collaboration with external partners mainly on repeated dose systemic toxicity. Represent the company in different working groups at Cosmetics Europe, OECD, ILSI/HESI.
Jul 2010 – Aug 2013: L’Oréal Research & Innovation, Predictive models and methods development Department; Aulnay sous bois - France. Head of the predictive methods development group.
Apr 2006 – Aug 2010: L’Oréal advanced research, Safety Research Department; Aulnay sous bois – France. Head of the Genotoxicity and Cancer group. Lead several projects on in vitro genotoxicity and in silico approaches (covering different endpoints).
Mar 2003 -Mar 2006: L’Oreal advanced research, Safety Research Department; Aulnay sous bois - France. Joined the Genotoxicity laboratory, developed in vitro genotoxicity and in vitro cell transformation assays.
Dec 2000- Jan 2003: Research fellow, Wellman Center for Photomedicine/Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA – USA. Lead a project on the photogenotoxicity of some compounds used in photodynamic therapy.
Dec 1997- Oct 2000: Ph.D. in Photobiology, Laboratory of photobiology, National History Museum of Paris, France. Thesis on the molecular mechanisms involved in the photogenotoxicity of fluoroquinolones using in vitro methods.
Oct 1990-Jul 1997: Doctorate in Pharmacy, University of Padova, Italy. Thesis on the use of furoquinolones in photodynamic therapy
