SESSION DESCRIPTION:
Discussions will focus on the phenotypic characterization of cell models. What makes a good cell model e.g. a kidney- or liver-like cellular model, can we quantify the likeness of e.g. induced pluripotent stem (iPS)-cell-derived models compared to primary cells and what properties have to be reported to judge the likeness and include its influence in modelling? After a short introduction to the in3 project, Paul Jennings, Maxime Culot and Christophe Chesne will present their cell models as a starting point for a session-participants  discussion on cell-model characteristics leading towards the definition of applicability domains of such models.
