Session 1: Data Science

OpenTox USA 2015, Session 1: Data Science

Session Chair: Barry Hardy, Douglas Connect
Wednesday, 11 February 2015, from 8:45 to 10:45
SUMMARY
Data provides a foundation on which all of our analysis and applications are built, from hypotheses-generation in basic research through to using data as information supporting risk assessment. We need data to be organised in such a way that it is clear in meaning and subject to evaluation.

Session 3: Exposure Modelling

OpenTox USA 2015, Session 3: Exposure Modelling

Session Chair: Tim Pastoor, Snygenta
Wednesday, 11 February 2015, from 14:00 to 16:00
SUMMARY
Exposure assessment is too often an afterthought in the risk assessment process. Typically, toxicological information, with its attendant animal testing protocols, drives decision making. Instead, exposure assessment should be a first consideration in formulating a strategy to assess human safety and risk.
