Innovation in Predictive Toxicology

Titania Hotel, Athens, Greece
The meeting will take place at the Titania Hotel, which is located in the heart of the Historical and Commercial Centre of Athens. Within a short distance from the hotel, one can visit the most important historical monuments of Athens, but can also enjoy the modern life of the capital of Greece. The Pireaus port and the Athens seaside are less than an hour away from the city center.
A special social event is planned during the meeting that will include sightseeing, a visit to the Acropolis museum and an all-together dinner in the old historical neighborhood of Plaka. The OpenTox Euro 2014 meeting will place particular emphasis on industrial applications and challenges of predictive toxicology as well as on risk assessment and regulatory acceptance of in silico approaches, including Read Across and Weight of Evidence.
Special sessions are planned on Metabolism and Systems Biology as well as on predicting the toxicological effects of engineered nanomaterials.
Barry Hardy (Douglas Connect), Philip Doganis, Haralambos Sarimveis (National Technical University of Athens), Stefan Kramer (Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz), Nina Jeliazkova (Ideaconsult), and Egon Willighagen (Maastricht University). Philip Doganis (National Technical University of Athens) leads the local conference organisation function.
